Explore the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on a full-day private tour from Cusco. At 8:00am, a Swifts Travel representative will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to accompany you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to Machu Picchu with your guide. The train departs at 10:15am.
These spectacular cars have beautiful panoramic windows that offer unparalleled scenic views and countless opportunities to take photos. Completely surrounded by glass, passengers feel like they are part of the stunning landscape of Peru. Snacks and hot and cold drinks are served during the trip.
Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes station at 12:12pm, you will board the bus to Machu Picchu.
Discover one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders in the world, which remained hidden until 1911, and then head to the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge for a buffet lunch.
Visit this unique Inca citadel and its surrounding complexes on a private tour. Machu Picchu is located 2,430 meters above sea level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. This was probably the most impressive urban creation of the entire Inca Empire; its gigantic walls, terraces, and ramps seem to have been naturally carved into the continuous rocky cliffs. The natural environment, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, surrounds the upper basin of the Amazon with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Entrance to the citadel is included.
At 4:30pm, you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will take the Vistadome train to the Ollantaytambo station. The train departs at 5:23pm/ Arrives at 7:02pm. Snacks and hot and cold drinks are served during the trip.
Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo, you will be transferred from the train station to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
