ATV ADVENTTURE IN SACRED VALLEY MARAS, MORAY & SALINERAS

Option 1: The quad bike tour in the Sacred Valley can start either in the morning (7:00 am) or in the afternoon (1:00 pm). We meet at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco (previously coordinated the day before the tour) and then take a nearly one-hour trip to our base located in Cruzpata.

After a brief explanation of how to use the quad bikes and safety issues, we’ll start with a 10-minute practice before embarking on our circuit. The driving route lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, all off-road, with stops at viewpoints and special places for taking photos, where you can capture images of the everyday life of the people who live there and also admire the typical facades of their houses. 

We’ll ride through spectacular places where few people venture, and nature puts on its greatest display to impress us at every turn. Along the route, we can also observe local agriculture up close, and you’ll have the option to visit the archaeological site of Moray, known as the «Inca agricultural experimentation center» (optional entrance).  At the end of the quad bike circuit, our transportation will take you to the Maras Salt Mines, as it’s prohibited to enter the salt pools with these vehicles. You’ll also admire indescribable landscapes with high mountains that are sacred to our people to this day. 

Option 2: Embark on an exciting off-road expedition in the Sacred Valley by hopping on a quad bike. Initially, you will be taken to the Adventure Center in Pachar, where you can obtain your vehicle and essential safety gear. Following that, you will travel along the historic path that connects to Ollantaytambo, and ascend to the Inca bridge, while encountering pristine Inca terraces that are still actively utilized by local farmers. This scenic journey offers a unique opportunity to explore the region’s natural beauty and ancient heritage.
